Introducing

Akustica Duo

Our story began nearly 10 years ago over a shared love for music and performance! We both attended the same singing school where Damian did guitar and singing lessons, and I (Belle) took part in singing and dancing lessons. One day a nervous and shy 15-year-old me, worked up the courage to ask Damian if he would be interested in jamming with me, so we could start doing live performances together.

After many nights rehearsing (which most of the time ended in us having massive giggle attacks and forming a wonderful friendship) we decided it was time to cart our gear with us on the 1.5 hr bus ride into the city and start busking! It was during these humble beginnings where we learnt so much and it gave us the opportunity to develop our own quirks, characteristics and grow as musicians, and we have not looked back since!

 Akustica is the cultivated fusion of our love for music, our unique backgrounds and our passion for sharing it all with other people to make them feel something! We continuously aim to move others through our expression and put our heart and soul into our acoustic covers.

Hiya from Damian!

Growing up in the Hills District NSW, I was fortunate enough to be presented with a number of music opportunities from a young age! I began my music journey at the age of 6, taking piano lessons which eventuated into a love of guitar and singing, it was not long before music took over my life! 

I have been privileged enough to create a career out of a love for all things music! Working as a touring musician, I have played across some of Australia’s best live entertainment venues providing entertainment as a solo artist, working in duos and bands! I have also developed a deep knowledge of the Australian music industry working as a session musician and creating my own original music.

I too value family, spending time with friends, meeting new people and if you couldn’t already tell…. all things music!  I have been working as a professional within the music industry since 2016 and have no plan to stop doing so! With an abundance of live performance experience, I look forward to working with you, having a laugh and sharing my passion for music with you!

Holla from Belle!

I grew up in a rural area in the foothills of the Blue Mountains NSW and was also lucky enough to travel around Australia in a sizable 21-foot caravan at the age of 5, with my two big brothers and adventurous parents.  I was a barefoot, sun kissed child who would blast Australian Country and Folk singers and would always be outside exploring by day or singing around the campfire by night.

I began singing lessons at the age of 11 and not long after that took an interest to piano and all things music. I was a little artsy and creative sponge and have always loved being able to express myself through my voice and my vision. I am a dreamer.

I value family, the sea, moving my body, any type of animal and love spending my time singing and performing. I recently quit my full time 9 – 5 as a graphic designer in order to bring music to people like you on a full-time basis and here we are! Life’s too short to not be doing what you were brought on this earth to do… and sharing my voice with others is that and more.
